Chigwell School welcomes Dame Maggie Aderin-Pocock

On Thursday 13th March, we were thrilled to welcome Dame Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock to Chigwell School.

Dame Maggie spoke to Years 7-13, along with guests from Braeside and Oaks Park High School, about her career and breaking barriers. Incorporating our values, she encouraged pupils to follow their dreams, as we can achieve anything by staying focused and optimistic.

It was a brilliant event to celebrate both International Women's Day and British Science Week. A huge thank you to Dame Maggie for giving such an inspirational and interesting talk!
