Wellington College Prep: Easter Adventures in China

Over the Easter holidays, 18 of our Year 7 & 8 pupils had the incredible opportunity to visit some of our international partner schools in China.

We began our journey in Shanghai, where we were warmly welcomed by students from Hiba Academy Shanghai and @wellingtoncollegeinternational Shanghai. After making new friends, we took in the views from the Oriental Pearl Tower and enjoyed a hugely popular day of fun at Disneyland!

On Sunday, we travelled to Suzhou with Mr Venables, where we explored the beautiful Humble Administrator’s Garden and experienced a peaceful traditional boat ride along the river. From there, we headed to Hiba Academy Nantong, our home for the next few days.

Our time in Nantong was packed with cultural activities, international celebrations, and the chance to build lasting friendships. We ended the trip with a magical night-time river cruise along the Bund back in Shanghai before heading to Pudong Airport for a very sleepy flight home.

The pupils had a fantastic time—the trip was a true celebration of cultures and a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our global connections.
