Students achieve Highest Marks in the World for IGCSE examinations

Jerudong International School (JIS) proudly celebrates the remarkable achievements of its students at the Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards (OPLA). Following the 2024 examinations, two JIS students have been recognised with the Highest Mark in the World for their Pearson Edexcel International GCSE qualifications.

Dhanushan Chinniah and Mintong Li both attained the Highest Mark in the World for their Pearson Edexcel International GCSE Mathematics A qualification.

In addition, Mintong earned the Highest Mark in Brunei Darussalam for five other IGCSE examinations: Chemistry, Economics, English Language A, English Literature and Physics.

Dhanushan also earned the Highest Mark in Brunei Darussalam for his Further Pure Mathematics and Geography examinations.

Executive Principal Nicholas Sheehan commented: “These extraordinary accomplishments highlight not only the students' exceptional talent but also the outstanding support provided by their teachers and families. We are incredibly proud of Mintong and Dhanushan, and we look forward to witnessing their continued success at JIS in the years ahead.”
