Making Waves in Spain Over Half Term
Published by RMS for Girls on Monday 9th of June 2025
This half term, our students had an unforgettable surf trip to Cantabria, Spain.
This region is renowned for its beautiful coastline and world-class surfing spots. With its consistent waves and stunning beaches, it's the perfect place for surfers of all abililties.
From catching their first waves to improving existing skills. everyone made incredible progress thanks to amazing instructors. But the trip was about much more than just surfing.
The trip was summed up perfectly by Izzy, Eleanor and Jessica, who shared:
"This half term we spent a great week in Spain surfing. Some of us already knew how to surf but improved loads and some had never surfed before but the instructors were so helpful and by the end everyone was catching all the waves! It was such fun and a great bonding experience with volleyball, games, yoga and loads of ice cream! The food was great and in the evenings we all hung out together making bracelets and playing cards with music in the background, singing along. It was great to see different years laughing together especially when competing in the daily evening quiz nights and on the last night when we all put on our Hawaiian shirts and took lots of photos, especially loving the teachers matching shorts, tops and hats. It was definitely a trip to remember and we can't wait to look back on all of the memories the future."
Izzy, Eleanor, Jessica
It was a week full of activities, fun and time spent together, certainly a memorable trip for everyone involved. A big thank you to the teachers and surf instructors who made it all possible.
