The Headmaster, Dr David Burnett, praised the pupils and thanked the staff and parents for their support. “The A Level and AS results are a reflection of the hard work each pupil puts into his or her studies. We are always impressed by the dedication and maturity which pupils show, and the consistency of their focus. When pupils’ wider involvement in school life and the local community is also factored in then our pride and admiration in their achievements only grows. They are a terrific bunch of young people and a real credit to RSD, their families and themselves. I know they would be the first to acknowledge the guidance they receive from their teachers and the support from their parents and I would like to pass on my thanks to teaching colleagues and everyone at home for the support they have given and their role in the pupils’ success. We are delighted that this great bunch of young people have done so well and opened up so many opportunities for their future.”
