GCSE Success at RSD!

Pupils at the Royal School Dungannon have achieved excellent GCSE results in this summer’s examinations, with 51% of all grades at A* or A, 74% of all grades at A*-B and 94% of all grades at A*-C.
44/104 pupils returned at least 6 A*/A grades. Ishbel Logue led the way with a clean sweep of 10 A* grades, while Nisha Chung and Alice Doran each returned 9 A* grades plus 1 A grade and Megan Chambers and Rebecca Loane each scored 8 A* grades plus 2 A grades.
Darcy Weir achieved 7 A* grades plus 3 A grades, Joseph Kane and Lydia Spence each returned 6 A* and 4 A grades, Chloe Ewing scored 5 A* and 5 A grades, and Katherine Ryan scored 4 A* grades and 6 A grades.
Hannah Davidson, Harry Kerr, Abby Cardwell, Isaiah McElnea, Caleb Talbot and Sarah Da Costa all achieved a combination of 10 A*/A grades in their overall totals. Kinson Yu, Minnie Yu, Kylie Leung, Charlene Liu, Ieva Venckute, Emily Watt, Charlie McClung, Elena Watson, Hannah McIlwaine, Emilia Zareiko, Honor Davidson and Tanya Stoyanova all returned A*/A grades in 9 subjects within their overall totals.
Erin May McCreedy, James McMahon, Mason Chow, Poppy Hutchinson, Angus Lam, Evie Girvan and Chloe Rainey all scored 8 A*/A grades within their overall totals. Sarah McCoy, Matthew Smiton, John Stinson and Calum Stretton all achieved a combination of 7 A*/A grades in their overall totals. Charlotte Kennedy, Karla Millar, Jemimah Anderson, Arthur Maliy and Rebecca Robinson all scored a combination of 6 A*/A grades in their overall totals.
Year 11 pupils completed examination modules in a range of subjects and returned excellent results which will form the basis for further success in the GCSE examinations next summer.
The Headmaster, Dr David Burnett, congratulated the pupils for their achievements. “We are all delighted for the pupils who have worked so hard across the past two years to achieve these excellent results.
