New Weekly Open Mornings

Published by Burgess Hill Girls on Wednesday 10th of September 2025

The new weekly Open Mornings will be held every Friday during term time from 9.00-11.00am, giving prospective families the best possible experience, whether that's for the Prep and Senior schools or the Sixth Form. The new format visits are designed to inspire families to see first-hand the many benefits of an all-girls education from academic excellence and leadership opportunities to the confidence and independence students develop for life beyond school.

"We know that visiting a school in person is the best way to experience its unique energy, warmth and excellence," said Heather Cavanagh, Head of Burgess Hill Girls. "By focusing our efforts on Friday mornings, we can give families the time, attention, and insight they need to make an informed decision about their daughter’s education."

Heather continued saying "In our school, we see how powerful it is when girls are given the space to lead, to question, to create, and to grow with courage and conviction. Where confidence is built not through competition, but through community. When parents choose Burgess Hill Girls for their daughters, they make the decision not to limit their choice; but to expand it. When you visit our school, you'll see a place full of possibilities, whee girls are free to discover who they are and who they want to become, free from distraction".

The tailored experience will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes where visitors will receive a warm welcome from a member of the Senior Leadership Team to learn about the school’s ethos, vision, and all-round educational approach. They'll be a tour to explore the relevant school campus to gain an authentic feel for daily life at Burgess Hill Girls. In addition, families will be invited to visit the Information Hub to meet key teams who will be on hand to answer questions and provide guidance covering the following areas:

  • ADMISSIONS for everything from entry points, timelines, application process, and scholarships.

  • FINANCE to gain an understanding of how to apply for bursaries and information regarding the payment of fees.

  • SEN to learn more about how we can help students who require additional learning support.

  • TRANSPORT to see our extensive routes and learn how we run this vital service for our students

  • Plus, information on curriculum, co-curricular activities, and school uniform.

Families considering entry to the school, especially for September 2026, are invited to complete the online 'Enquiry Form' to arrange an individual time slot between the 9.00–11.00am on a Friday morning. Once received the Admissions Team will confirm an individual appointment.

Please note the closing dates for accepting registrations for September 20026 entry is the 5th December 2025 for the Prep & Senior School school and the 14th November 2025 for the Sixth Form.
