The Oratory Prep School will welcome Rob Jennings, founder of the Dyscalculia Network, for a special talk on Monday 29th September at 6.30pm in the school theatre.

Dyscalculia is a specific learning difficulty that affects an individual’s ability to understand and work with numbers. It can make even basic mathematical concepts, such as counting or telling the time, feel incredibly difficult.

Rob Jennings will offer insight into what life is like for a child with dyscalculia and share practical strategies that parents and educators can use to help build confidence and support learning.

This talk reflects The Oratory Prep School’s ongoing commitment to learning support, a commitment recently recognised with the Muddy Stilettos Best Schools Award 2025 for Best Learning Support. The school is proud of the work it does to ensure every child receives the individual help they need to thrive, whether in Maths, English, or beyond.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for parents, teachers and anyone interested in learning differences to gain a deeper understanding of dyscalculia,” said Jess Russell, Head of the Learning Support Department at The Oratory Prep School. “Our aim is to empower families with knowledge and strategies that will make a real difference.”

This event is open to both OPS parents and members of the wider community. Attendance is free but registration is essential. Please contact admissions@oratoryprep.co.uk for more information.
