New Head appointed at Portfield School

The Wessex Autistic Society is delighted to announce the appointment of Tyler Collins as Head of Portfield School, near Hurn, Bournemouth.Portfield School, which was awarded 'Good with Outstanding aspects' in its latest Ofsted inspection, is a non-maintained special school for children and young people aged 319 with autism and associated learning and developmental difficulties
Tyler comments, 'I am so pleased to have joined The Wessex Autistic Society as Head of Portfield School. I bring a wealth of experience to the role having previously worked as Head of Children's Services and Head of School at 'Spectrum' in Cornwall. I bring considerable experience of working with autism but also a true passion and energy to the role, which I hope will impact positively and quickly throughout the school.'
Tyler is a strong believer in effective partnership working with families, multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams. Underpinning his work ethic is a clear commitment to providing meaningful outcomes for the children and families supported by the charity.
