Conservation Service - BugLife

On Wednesday our Conservation Service enjoyed some training with @buglife_ict - the only organisation in Europe dedicated to the conservation of invertebrates - and the River Guardians Project.

They came along to teach our year 10s about how to do an invertebrate survey to monitor river ecosystem health and pollution levels.

Our sixth form biology students also enjoyed a guest lecture from them afterwards on how citizen science and indicator species are being used to monitor pollution levels across the country. Huge thanks to them for the informative - and important - visit!
