Art meets activism, and imagination becomes a force of nature
Through our partnership with Cape Farewell, creativity at Sherborne Girls has found a new current this term, flowing through exhibitions, lectures, workshops and projects that make climate not just a topic but a muse.
From David Buckland’s thought-provoking keynote to fine art responses inspired by Chris Drury, our pupils have been engaging thoughtfully with climate themes in their lessons.
In the Wirth Gallery, works by Anthony Gormley, Rachel Whiteread, Clare Twomey, Jim Murray, Ian McEwan and Michael Pinsky have sparked imaginations and conversations that ripple far beyond the canvas
Meanwhile, L4 and U4 have gone digital, rebuilding London block by block in Minecraft Education, meeting the virtual Mayor to dream up cities where green is more than a colour.
Together with Cape Farewell, we’re using creativity to inspire awareness, action, and hope for a more sustainable future. We look forward to seeing this partnership grow and evolve as we continue into Spring 2026
