Ben Earl (JH 11-16) commits his future to Saracens

We are delighted for Old Tonbridgian and England International Ben Earl (JH 11-16), who has signed a new contract with Saracens, keeping him at the North London club until 2029.

Ben continues to exemplify what hard work inside and outside the classroom can achieve, creating a reinforcing cycle that builds character, competence, and opportunity. It is inspiring to see him go from strength to strength on the international stage, most recently through his selection for this summer’s British and Irish Lions tour and his back-to-back Player of the Match performances for England in the Quilter Autumn Internationals.

Ben, who has Saracens in his DNA, having joined the club’s academy at the age of 14, maintains a strong connection to Tonbridge School, with six of our boys recently invited to join the Ben Earl U15 Player Development Group.

Second Year boys Arian (OH2), Rex (JH2), Tom (HS2), Fin (HS2), Todd (OH2) and Alberto (SH2) join fellow Tonbridgians Fynn (Sc2), Ed (FH3), Nilan (FH3) and Dalen (OH4) in the Saracens setup, a pathway designed to identify and support the development of players aged 15-18.

Director of Rugby Rhys Crane says, “It is equally reassuring to see that Ben has chosen to extend his contract at his boyhood club, Saracens, and to continue playing alongside some of his closest friends – a value that aligns strongly with our philosophy here at Tonbridge of creating memories and friendships that last a lifetime. Furthermore, our growing links with the Saracens Academy pathway provide our boys with the opportunity to pursue excellence and follow their passions beyond the classroom, while continuing to excel academically.”

We look forward to seeing Ben continue to shine for both club and country, and we wish all those aspiring to follow in his footsteps the very best in their rugby journeys.
