Beekeeping Success

Back in October, we entered two of this season's jars of honey from our Godstowe Hive into the National Honey Show, along with some poems and beeswax candles that the girls had made in one of the club's sessions. We came away with the following awards at the show:

First place in the Schools Apiary Honey category

First place for Ria's calligram poem, 'My bees'

Second place for Carlotta's calligram poem, 'My bees'

Second place for Ophelia's decorative candles

Third place for Carlotta's decorative candles

We also hosted the High Wycombe Honey Show at Godstowe in October and Sophie was awarded 'Best in Show Judges' Award' along with two first prize awards for her candles and poems.
