Karate programme helps with music lessons

As part of their music curriculum, Year 2 spend one of their weekly specialist music lessons dedicated to learning the recorder with our Director of Music, Mrs Martin.

They follow the Recorder Karate programme which is a fun way to develop basic technique, rhythm reading and ensemble playing. So far they’ve earned their white, yellow and orange belts and are currently working towards mastering their green belt.
