Published by Woodhouse Grove School on Friday 13th of February 2026
Our A-level History students are currently in Munich on a trip to support their study of Germany 1918–45.
Yesterday, they explored the city of Munich, immersing themselves in the setting that played such a pivotal role in the early development of National Socialism, before enjoying dinner at the historic Hofbräuhaus München.
Today, they are visiting the powerful and thought-provoking Nuremberg Rally Grounds, where they will see first-hand the scale and propaganda of the Nazi Party rallies. They will then have the opportunity to explore the historic city of Nuremberg.
Over the coming days, students will also visit the Olympic Village and the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site, as well as a range of other museums that will enrich their knowledge and provide powerful context to their studies.
It promises to be an incredibly meaningful experience, bringing their classroom learning vividly to life while encouraging thoughtful reflection on this pivotal period of history.
