Competing against senior opposition all winter
Since November, our Senior Girls have taken on Midlands Indoor League Division 1 at the Douglas Sports Centre in Dundee. As the only U18 school side in the competition, they faced five established adult club teams in what was always going to be a significant step up.
Across 10 scheduled fixtures, with one cancelled due to weather, 19 players represented the team including three goalkeepers. Director of Hockey Ms Green also featured in selected matches, adding experience in a fast and demanding adult league.
The numbers tell the story
🔥 54 goals scored
🏆 6 wins
For such a young squad, competing and winning at this level is a fantastic achievement. Beyond results, the league sharpened indoor skills, strengthened fitness through the winter and developed tactical awareness in a high tempo game.
A brilliant winter campaign and plenty to build on for next season.
