Our Dover College Prep School enthusiastically celebrated Science Week from Monday 9th to Friday 13th March. Pupils from Reception to Prep 6 took part in a wide range of engaging activities designed to inspire curiosity, creativity and a deeper understanding of the world around them.

The week began with a live lesson assembly linking schools across the country, encouraging pupils to think like scientists and explore how science shapes everyday life.

A particular highlight was an online engineering session with Paul Cable, who spoke about his career and the projects he has worked on, including the development of a state-of-the-art watch designed to support people living with Tourette’s. Pupils gained valuable insight into how engineering can be used to solve real-world problems and improve lives.Later in the week, pupils visited the Science Museum in London, where they explored interactive exhibits and hands-on displays that brought scientific ideas to life and sparked many thoughtful questions. To conclude the week, pupils designed and demonstrated their own experiments to classmates, confidently explaining their investigations and showcasing their impressive scientific understanding.Science Week was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to explore new ideas, develop investigative skills and celebrate the exciting world of science.
