ACS Cobhams Cougars have had one of its most successful fall sport seasons on record and the school celebrated a hat-trick of championship victories at the Fall Sports Awards.

The Cougars Boys Soccer team were crowned champions for the second consecutive year beating TASIS 1-0 in the final, thanks to the Cougars Henk Soedes late goal, at the International Schools Sports Tournament (ISST) Division One Championships held at American School in London (ASL).

ACS Cobham also hosted the ISST Division One Girls Soccer Championships. The Cougars Ladies Varsity Soccer team won gold beating Frankfurt International School 3-1 in the championship final. Ladies soccer teams from international schools from the UK, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Switzerland, Egypt and Israel all headed to ACS Cobham in the three day tournament.

The Girls ISST Division One Varsity Volleyball team went undefeated throughout the ISST Volleyball championships held at St Johns International School in Waterloo, Belgium, securing only their second championship in twenty years.

Other Cougar teams also displayed their prowess this season at the Boys & Girls Cross Country Division 1 Championships held in Zurich. The Cobhams boys varsity team, led by individual champion Calvin Chapman, finished second taking home the silver medal, while both the boys and girls junior varsity teams brought home bronze medals. The icing on the cake was the cross country team being crowned overall team champions in the ten school event.

Dave Schuchter, Head of Sport, Leisure and Physical Education, commented on the teams performance:

This has been one of the best fall sports seasons on record for the Cougars! All the teams have done exceedingly well in their respective tournaments and all their training has certainly paid off. The Cougars have a very strong background in sports education and Im always really proud at all the hard work our students and coaches put into their teams and commitment they demonstrate to improving their own skills.
