Tudor Hall has been awarded the British Council International School Award Foundation Certificate, reflecting our commitment to embedding internationalism and a global mindset in our curriculum and school ethos.

This internationally-recognised award follows a submission to the British Council exemplifying genuine international connection from Kathryn Joel, Tudor’s EAL (English as an Additional Language) Co-ordinator.

"In the application, I wrote about the online lesson that took place between Tudor Hall students and a former student, Rika, who joined with her classmates after returning to Japan” said Mrs Joel. “The session marked Hinamatsuri, a day in Japan when young women are celebrated. Rika and her friends shared short presentations about their school, Japanese traditions and etiquette, common greetings, make-up, and how to draw Japanese characters. Our IVs did a fantastic job representing the school are keen to organise a reciprocal online meeting to share information about British culture.”
