Appointment of New Head of School in 2027

The Governing Body of Feltonfleet School is thrilled to announce the appointment of Oliver Barrett as the new Head of School, who will take up the role in 2027.

Following an extensive and highly competitive search, the Governors were unanimous in their decision, with Oliver emerging as the outstanding candidate to succeed Shelley Lance and lead the school into its next chapter.

Oliver joins Feltonfleet from his current role as Head of Twickenham Prep School, where he has successfully led the coeducational 4–13 school with a focus on academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement. His leadership has fostered an environment where pupils excel academically while feeling supported and valued. Prior to this, Oliver held senior leadership roles at St George’s Junior School, providing him with valuable insights into the local educational landscape and aligning well with Feltonfleet’s ‘Destination 13’ model.

The Governors were particularly impressed with Oliver’s clarity of educational vision and his ability to inspire both staff and pupils. He is committed to ensuring that Feltonfleet remains a place where academic rigour is paired with genuine care for each child, nurturing not just knowledge, but confidence, character, and joy in learning.
