House Music Finals 2026

On Tuesday 24 March 2026, we hosted a truly spectacular celebration of music. Our House Music Competition finalists truly amazed us with their talent, dedication, and passion. Each performance was a testament to the hard work and creativity of our pupils – making the finals an unforgettable experience!#

A Mesmerising Piano Duo Steals the Spotlight

Whilst we waited for the scores to be totalled, we were delighted to watch a breathtaking performance from our guest, William Cheung, Music Director of the Midland Chamber Orchestra, alongside last year’s finalist, Handuo. The duo performed side-by-side on the piano, blending orchestral brilliance with individual flair, leaving the audience mesmerised. It was a magical moment and a true highlight of the event.

Victory Never Tasted So Good!

Then the results were in, and the excitement was palpable! A huge congratulations to Ridgway House for claiming the top spot and winning the House Music Finals! Their dedication, talent, and outstanding performances – from the auditions to the semi-finals and now the finals – truly shone through, making their victory well-deserved and a highlight of the day.

Every point earned in each round contributes to a house’s total score, so every audition counts. Encouraging children to participate not only gives them a chance to shine individually but also helps their house climb the charts to victory!

At Hallfield, music is at the heart of school life. Children can explore instruments, vocal training, and ensemble performance from a young age, guided by our dedicated staff who nurture their confidence, skill, and creativity. Events like the House Music Finals allow students to showcase their hard work and passion, while celebrating the joy of music as a community.

We are so grateful to everyone who made the day possible – from our talented students and finalists, to the teachers, parents, and supporters who cheered them on. Moments like these remind us of the power of music to inspire, connect, and celebrate creativity.
