ISA National Triathlon 2026
Published by Sherfield School on Monday 8th of June 2026
On Friday, 1st May, eight pupils from Sherfield competed in the ISA National Triathlon at Ipswich High School.
This venue is fantastic for a triathlon, and the event is organised very professionally. Participants begin with a swim, then run outside to their bikes to complete the cycling section. After racking their bikes, they set off on their run.
The Sherfield pupils ranged from Year 4 to Year 9, with the distances increasing as the participants got older. The bike and run courses are on undulating grass, featuring a few hills, so the event is certainly challenging. This year, our amazing pupils achieved four top-10 finishes, with two completing their first triathlon at this event. Many of the competitors have another year in their age group, so next year already looks promising!
- TS1 (9-10)
5th male Alexander C (Y5)
11th female Daisy G (Y4)
15th female Otilia G (Y4)
- TS2 (11-12)
24th male Dylan K (Y5)
4th female Cressida M (Y6)
- TS3 (13-14)
6th male Luke W (Y7)
9th male Caiden G (Y9)
15th male Alex W (Y8)
(Luke and Caiden were assumed to be in the oldest age group and were sent on a longer run loop than they should have done)
A huge well done to all of them!
