Millfield 16 selected for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow

Millfield School have received 16 selections for this year’s Commonwealth Games, so far.
The 23rd Commonwealth Games will take place in Glasgow from 23 July to 2 August 2026, bringing together some of the world's finest athletes.
Millfield’s 16 selections include six current students, eight Old Millfieldians (OMs), a former Performance Swimming Squad member and one member of staff.
The youngest current student selected is 14-year-old Katie Green, who will represent Gibraltar. She is joined by Upper Sixth students Filip Nowacki and Tilly Collymore, who will compete for Jersey and Grenada respectively. Riley Watson and Emily Hughes have also earned selections and will represent the Cayman Islands and Northern Ireland. Ethan Stubbs-Green will make his first appearance at the Commonwealth Games for Antigua. All six students will compete in swimming events, and will be joined at the games by Millfield Head of Swimming, Keiron Piper, who has been selected as a coach for Jersey.
With the Wales swimming squad set to be announced later this week, it is suspected that there will be multiple Millfield athletes to add to the list.
A further eight OMs and one former Performance Swimming Squad member have been selected to represent their nations this summer. Eight will compete in swimming, while one has been selected in track cycling.
Olympic champion James Guy MBE will be joined by Emily Richards on the Swim England team. Anna Morgan and Evan Jones will represent Scotland, while Emma Harvey will compete for Bermuda. Tatiana Tostevin has been selected for Guernsey, while siblings Jade and Mia Phiri will represent Zambia.
In cycling, OM Lauren Bell will fly the flag for Scotland, enjoying the opportunity to compete on home soil in Glasgow.
24 Millfield athletes and coaches took part in the last Commonwealth Games, in Birmingham, winning an exceptional three gold medals, five silvers and six bronzes.
