St Helen's School is celebrating another year of outstanding A Level results, with 91.2% of grades awarded at A*-B and 62.6% at A*-A. Students have secured places at some of the UK's leading universities.
St Helen's School is delighted to announce another year of outstanding A Level results, with pupils achieving exceptional academic outcomes and securing places on highly competitive courses at a range of top tier UK universities. These results reflect the academic ambition, intellectual curiosity and breadth of opportunity that defines a St Helen's education.
This year, 91.2% of all grades were awarded at A*-B, representing an increase on last year's results. More than a third of the cohort achieved a clean sweep of A* and A grades across all their subjects, reflecting the ambition, resilience and dedication of St Helen's students. Students have secured places at the most prestigious universities in the UK, with 81% progressing to Russell Group universities and 74% taking up places at The Times Top 30 ranked universities. In another outstanding achievement, all Oxbridge offer holders secured their places. These exceptional results are testament not only to the hard work and perseverance of our students, but also to the unwavering support of dedicated teachers, pastoral staff and families over their time in our Sixth Form.
Bridget Ward, Head, said: "Congratulations to the Year 13 St Helen’s girls collecting their results today. While the headlines of the results don't tell the story behind each individual pupil; we are immensely proud of their collective academic achievement and of the hard work and perseverance of our pupils and of all the teachers who have guided and supported them."
Our students will now take up places at a wide range of leading universities. Alongside Oxford and Cambridge, pupils will progress to top institutions including Imperial College, UCL, King's College, LSE, Durham, Bristol, Nottingham, Bath, Edinburgh and Warwick.
Their chosen degree courses reflect the breadth of talents and aspirations within the year group, ranging from Medicine at Imperial College and Economics at Warwick to Theology, Religion and Philosophy of Religion at Cambridge, Politics and Modern Languages at Bristol, Computer Science and AI at the University of Bath, Fine Art at Leeds, and Classics and French at Oxford.
Jess Payne, Senior Deputy Head (Academic and Co-curricular), said: “The breadth of destinations and courses highlights the strength of a St Helen's education, where academic excellence sits alongside personal development, leadership opportunities, creativity and co-curricular achievement. Our students have embraced every opportunity available to them and leave St Helen's as confident, capable young women ready to make a positive impact in the world.”
Celebrating Individual Pupils:
Among the many outstanding achievements this year are:
Anya, who achieved her grades in Computer Science, Economics, Maths and Further Maths, will go on to study Economics at the University of Warwick. Having been a pupil at St Helen's since Reception, she reflected on her journey through the school. She said "Having been at St Helen's since Reception, it has been an incredible journey. Being a 'Girl in Green' is a huge part of who I am and has shaped me both academically and personally. The opportunities, encouragement and sense of community I have experienced over the last 14 years have given me the confidence to take this next step, and I am excited to begin studying Economics at Warwick."
Orla, who joined St Helen's in the Sixth Form, achieved her grades in Economics, Maths and French. She will go to her first choice of Politics and Modern Language at the University of Bristol. She said: "The encouragement and dedication of my teachers have been invaluable over the past two years. My time at St Helen's has prepared me extremely well for the future, and I am very excited to study Politics and Modern Languages at the University of Bristol."
Isabella, successfully secured a place to study French and Classics at the University of Oxford, having done French, Maths and Latin, at A level. Having joined St Helen's in Year 3, she reflected on the impact of the co-curricular programme alongside her academic studies: "I am incredibly grateful to St Helen's for encouraging me to pursue my interests and for recognising the importance of a well-rounded education. The co-curricular opportunities available to me have played a significant role in my personal development and have helped shape the person I am today. I leave St Helen's with wonderful memories and feeling well prepared for the next chapter studying French and Classics at Oxford."
We congratulate all our Year 13 leavers on their outstanding results and wish them every success and happiness as they begin the next stage of their lives. We look forward to hearing about their future achievements and welcoming them back as members of the St Helen's alumnae community.
