Congratulations Class of 2026
Published by Tormead School on Wednesday 19th of August 2026
Congratulations to the Class of 2026 on a stellar set of A Level results today, including a remarkable total of 95 A*-A grades. You have worked incredibly hard to achieve this success, and we could not be prouder, as you prepare to embark on the next exciting chapter of your lives. Your results stand amongst the strongest achieved by any Tormead cohort; testament to your dedication and perseverance, which themselves are important skills you have fostered and honed throughout your time in Tormead’s Sixth Form.
Whilst results were excellent overall, there were some exceptional results in STEM subjects, and these speak to the strength of our all-girls’ education at A Level. Our Further Mathematicians achieved an outstanding 100% grades at A*/A, and our Mathematicians and Chemists achieved 84% of grades at A*/A.
I want to take this opportunity to thank all my colleagues for your support and guidance of our students over their A Level studies, and to our Tormead families who have been your biggest cheerleaders throughout the last two years.
We are also delighted that as we make this announcement today, every single student in the year group with a confirmed offer has secured their university place. I would like to thank Mr Sykes as Head of University Admissions and Mrs Thie, our Head of Careers, for your careful and thoughtful advice to our students, both during the UCAS process and today, for allowing every student to have that surety. Our Careers service was highlighted as a strength in the recent Independent School of the Year Awards and today is a tangible example of why that matters, of how Tormead prepares our students for life beyond school.
So, to the Class of 2026, enjoy the remainder of the summer holidays. As you prepare for university to start in September, remember you will always be part of the Tormead community, with all the support that network brings. Good luck with the next steps!
David Boyd, Head
