Year 13 Results Celebrated
Published by Sherfield School on Tuesday 25th of August 2026
Today we are celebrating a strong set of Year 13 results, with 45% of all A-Level and BTEC grades achieved at A* to A or equivalent, and a quarter awarded at the very highest level of A* or equivalent. Additionally, 59% of students in the cohort achieved at least one A*. These results have opened the door to an exciting range of university destinations, with students celebrating a host of individual achievements.
Particularly strong performances were seen across a range of subjects. Geography achieved 83% A*to A grades, with 83% achieving an A* or A. Psychology also performed strongly, with two-thirds of students achieving an A* or A.
The results also highlight the significant academic progress made by students during their time at Sherfield. The Year 13 cohort achieved a strong Value Added score of 0.45, with students achieving, on average, results 0.45 grades higher than those expected based on their prior attainment. This demonstrates the remarkable progress made by the cohort and reflects the impact of excellent teaching, individual support and a nurturing environment in helping every student to achieve beyond expectations.
“These results are a wonderful reflection of what can be achieved when excellent teaching is combined with a supportive and nurturing environment. At Sherfield, we want every student to feel supported and confident in their ability to succeed, and it is incredibly rewarding to see that reflected in the remarkable academic progress this cohort has made. We are immensely proud of each and every one of our students, not only for the results they have achieved, but for the resilience and character they have shown throughout their time at Sherfield."
