Hockey Achievements

The Northern Region qualifying Under 12's IAPS Hockey Tournament took place at Repton School last term. Gresham's is delighted to report that the Under 12's finished third in the qualifying round, which enabled them to compete at the National finals, held at Queenswood School. The Under 13's won the East IAPS Championship at Bishops Stortford where they also qualified for the IAPS National Finals at Queenswood. This completed a hat trick of victories for this team who have won the East Under 11 and East Under 12 IAPS tournaments in previous years. In addition, this is the third year in a row that the Under 12's have qualified for the Nationals and the fourth year in a row that the Under 13's have qualified, which is an unprecedented achievement for the School. Despite not winning at Queenswood, the Under 12's came seventh and the Under 13's came fifth overall in the IAPS National Finals against fierce opposition. The teams should be proud of their achievements highlighting the consistently high level of hockey played at the School.
