Lingfield Sport Hold Netball Masterclass with Eboni Usoro-Brown

What better way to start the term than with a Netball Masterclass!

Our Lingfield netballers from Years 7-13 had the opportunity to take part in a masterclass with the President of England Netball, Eboni Usoro-Brown. Former England Roses player and Commonwealth Games gold medallist, Eboni, was here throughout the day to inspire and mentor over 70 students from years 7-13 who took part in the masterclass.

The session gave students the chance to learn from someone who has competed at the very highest level of the sport, developing their skills in movement, passing, decision-making, positioning and attacking play, while learning more about what it takes to perform as part of a successful team.

"The session with Eboni was really inspiring. I learnt new skills which will help me in future matches." Year 7 student

A huge thank you to Eboni for sharing her expertise, experience and passion for the game!

At Lingfield, netball is the major girls' sport in the spring term. The netball programme is led by Gemma Crawley, who is passionate about increasing participation across the year groups. In years 7 and 8, the whole year group will be out on court in games afternoons at block fixtures against schools including Royal Russell, Roedean, Brighton College and Epsom College.

We enter teams in the England Netball National Schools Competition, the Independent Schools National Netball Cup, Sisters in Sport competition, the School Sport Magazine Cup, Surrey Schools Tournament and also host our own tournament in January for U12 and U15 teams.
