Forest Choral Society

Forest Choral Society is delighted to welcome new members from across the Forest Group and wider Forest community for the new season. We would love some of our Snaresbrook parents and friends to join us.
The Choral Society brings together singers who enjoy performing some of the great works of the choral repertoire in a friendly and sociable setting. Rehearsals take place during term time on Monday evenings from 7.00–9.00pm in the Recital Room at Forest School.
There is no subscription fee to join the Choral Society, and rehearsals include an interval with wine and refreshments, offering members the opportunity to meet fellow singers and enjoy being part of the wider musical life of Forest.
The Society has an exciting programme of concerts planned for the coming year. On Saturday 6 March, the choir will perform Bob Chilcott’s St John Passion in Forest School Chapel. This will be followed on Saturday 24 April by a performance of Handel’s Messiah at St Giles’ without Cripplegate in the City of London.
Forest Choral Society is directed by James Clements, Head of Forest Prep School, and accompanied by James Norrey, Organist and Head of the Choristers.
Whether you are an experienced choral singer or simply keen to return to singing after some time away, new members are warmly encouraged to come along. The Society welcomes singers from across the Forest Group, including parents, staff, former pupils and friends of the School.
Rehearsals for the new season begin on Monday 2 November.
If you would like to join Forest Choral Society, or would like further information, please contact James Norrey at jnorrey@forest.org.uk.
