Set in 25 acres of playing fields, gardens and woods, on the edge of the medieval maritime market town of Bideford, and within easy reach of dramatic Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks, Kingsley School naturally offers every kind of water sport, including rowing, surfing and canoeing.
Not that Kingsley's sporting prowess is limited to the water; far from it. Our gymnastics, netball and biathlon teams, for example, have won national titles, while our judo Academy has a unique training partnership with the famous TeamBath which has attracted elite players to the school from the UK and Germany.
Every pupil, boy and girl, of every level of ability, is encouraged to join in, to represent the school, and to develop their talents to the very highest level of which they are capable.
Academically the school consistently achieves excellent results. Kingsley's GCSE results are 50% higher than the UK national average, while 95% of our Sixth Formers go on to university.
More than 60 after-school clubs and activities - including the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and the annual Ten Tors Challenge on nearby Dartmoor - keep our students challenged and stimulated beyond the regular school timetable.
The Boarding Houses offer real home-from home comfort and security.
And the school's Learning Development Centre has earned - and maintains - a national reputation in its field.
The school is always happy to welcome visitors. Please contact our Mrs Lou Wivell in our Admissions Team on 01237 426200 to arrange a convenient time.
