St Swithun’s Students Shine On Sporting Stage

St Swithun’s is thrilled to announce the remarkable sporting achievements of eight of our talented students who continue to shine in their respective sports disciplines, earning well-deserved recognition on national and regional stages.


Firstly, we extend our congratulations to Rose S and Rosie K, both integral members of our 1st team, on their selection in the England Lacrosse National Academy. Their talent and commitment have propelled them to this remarkable achievement.


In the world of netball, Anna DS and Isabella H have earned places in the U17 Surrey Storm Player Development Programme, a testament to their outstanding abilities and potential in the sport.


We are equally excited to share the inspiring journey of one of our alumnae, Sophie K, who has been selected to represent England in the U21 Netball Europe competition. Sophie's dedication and perseverance serve as a shining example to all aspiring athletes.


Furthermore, Isabella C and Eliza B have achieved the honour of securing spots on the Independent School Football Association U16 England Team. Their undeniable talent and hard work have earned them this opportunity.


Eliza B has also been selected to train and play with the Southern Vipers Emerging Players Programme which is a testament to her skill and potential in cricket.


Finally, the South Coast talent academy in Hockey have selected Annie C to play and train with them. Her dedication and passion for the sport have not gone unnoticed.


Head of Sport Jon Riley expressed immense pride, stating, "These achievements highlight the exceptional dedication and talent within our sporting community at St Swithun’s. Our students continue to make their mark on the national and regional stage, and we look forward to witnessing their continued success."
