Pupils Perform In Woodwind And Brass Tea

Published by Claremont Fan Court School on Tuesday 23rd of May 2023

One of the most recent instrumental concerts that the music school has hosted was the woodwind and brass tea, with representation across all three schools. Eighteen talented students performed from the very junior in the Pre-Prep School, showcasing their skills on their recorders, to more accomplished Prep and Senior School pupils, across an array of woodwind and brass instruments.

It was indeed a privilege to be performing in the historic Great Room of the mansion at Claremont Fan Court School. As ever, the focus of these performances is to present a wide range of abilities. This meant each participant had the chance to perform and showcase a chosen piece of music, some more experienced than others.

It was a brilliant afternoon, and our musicians should be proud of the way in which they performed a variety of pieces of varying in length, some of which were real toe-tapping numbers !

Many thanks to all those involved in this event. Special thanks to our peripatetic teachers, both in and outside of school who have enabled and given our pupils such confidence and instilled in them a real joy and passion for music making. These events would of course not be the same without the ongoing support of our alumni and parental community; who are always such eager spectators.
