Published by Edgbaston High School for Girls on Friday 9th of June 2023

Former Head Girl Fareedat Kenyon (2021), who is in her first year studying English and Drama at Warwick University, has made her first theatre performance at the Warwick Arts Centre.

Fareedat was cast in a production of "Downpour", a play about a woman named Ruby who faces a traumatic and painful event in her life. The play charts Ruby's journey and explores her relationship with her mother and also her friends.

Fareedat played Hazel, Ruby's best friend who supports her through the rollercoaster of emotions and experiences she faces. The play covered some difficult, sensitive and important themes and issues facing many young women in the world today.

Well done, Fareedat! It is wonderful to see your name up in lights and we look forward to the day you appear on Broadway...
