Published by Edgbaston High School for Girls on Friday 24th of November 2023

Last weekend saw the 65th ESSA Secondary Schools’ Team Championships, held at the new Sandwell Aquatics Centre. Marking the event's debut at the state-of-the-art venue, the pupils were excited to be part of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games legacy.

Our intermediate freestyle relay team - made up of Willow, Cleo, Tiffany and Isla – was seeded as 24th going into the competition, however, they swam fantastically, finishing as the 22nd best team nationally.

The intermediate freestyle relay team from EHS - comprised of Willow, Cleo, Tiffany, and Isla – exceeded expectations. After being seeded as 24th going into the competition, the girls delivered a stellar performance, swimming fantastically, securing the 22nd position among the nation's top teams.

We are so proud of the girls! Their achievement is a testament to their dedication and we know that their success will serve as an inspiration to future generations of Team EHS swimmers.
