Greenwich Royal Observatory Visit

Published by St Paul's Cathedral School on Monday 12th of February 2024

Year 3 went to Greenwich Royal Observatory as part of their IPC topic. They all had a great time watching a show called 'Universe of your Doorstep' in the planetarium and also took part in a workshop called 'Sun, Earth and Moon' where they found out interesting facts,. Did you know that the earth can fit inside the sun over 1 million times?!

The children then got to see the meridian line and stand in both the east and the west. They were all very relieved that the way back home was downhill as the hill that the observatory sits on is very steep!
