Representative Rugby Update

Published by Monkton Senior School on Tuesday 30th of April 2024

We are very proud of two of our senior rugby players who have had a busy season, both achieving representative honours for prestigious sides.

Joseph made his debut for the England Lambs (Independent Schools) team on Sunday 11th February. Playing incredibly well against a strong Welsh team at Sherborne School, Joseph managed to get over the line for a try and was involved in a number of exciting pieces of play by the team. Joseph continues his season with the team as they prepare for a tour to South Africa in the summer!

Callum took part in the U18 Premiership Final on Sunday 18th February, starting on the wing for the Bath U18 team against Northampton Saints. In a thrilling match, both teams held the lead at different points in the second half with Bath finally scoring to secure victory in the closing moments of the encounter. This is the first time Bath have won the final match of Finals Day, a fantastic achievement by Callum and the entire squad.
Well done to these young men and what they have achieved on the rugby pitch this season!
