St James Senior Boys’ School is proud to celebrate their students’ strong GCSE results, highlighting exceptional achievements across a broad range of subjects and the dedication behind them.
St James Senior Boys’ School is proud to announce another strong year of GCSE results, reflecting the hard work, commitment and resilience of our students.
This year, 34% of grades were awarded at 7–9 (A–A*), with 76% achieving 5–9 (C–A*). Several students achieved a clean sweep of top grades, including Rashid A-S, Rohan B-N, Peiyu N, Tej K, Oscar P, Zeyad S, Finn M, Noah S, Luke M and Montana Y, who all secured a majority of grades 8-9.
Head, Mr Rick Clarke, commented:
“We celebrate the achievements of a wonderful group of young men today who have received their GCSE results. I am hugely proud of their efforts, and I know how much work has gone into their exam preparation.”
The school is particularly proud of the breadth of success across both core and optional subjects, reflecting the strength of teaching and the boys’ determination to excel. This year’s results highlight notable achievements in several departments, with 67% of French grades at 7–9, 47% of Physics grades and 50% of Chemistry grades reaching the same top standard. Sanskrit was a particular standout, with 100% of grades awarded at 7–9.
Oscar P, who plans to study Economics, Maths and Biology at A-Level, shared his reflections:
“The teachers here really helped with bringing you on as a person and getting the results out of you that you deserve. The resources, the revision techniques, are all that you could want here.” He goes on to say, “The sport also collaborated with our academic education which really helped to give us the mental space to take a break, and I think that really helped with getting my grades, so I’m really happy.”
Many of our students will now continue their educational journey into the Sixth Form at St James, where they will pursue A Levels in preparation for university and beyond.
Mr Clarke added:
“Behind the grades and beyond the statistical analysis of how they have all done, are the individual stories of perseverance, resilience and determination. I know that all of these boys, whatever their achievements, have grown into young men who care and who want to make a difference, and we know that they will do great things in the Sixth Form and beyond. We congratulate them all and we wish them all the very best for the next step in their education.”
Today’s results are not only a celebration of academic success but also a reflection of the resilience, determination and community spirit that define life at St James.
