Boarding Induction Week at Queen Anne's
Published by Queen Anne's School on Monday 8th of September 2025
Before the start of term, Queen Anne's welcomed a number of students for Boarding Induction Week.
Induction Week is designed to give new international boarders time to settle in, get to know the school and the local area, and most importantly make friends before the start of their first year at Queen Anne's.
Onsite activities included bee-keeping, sports, an introduction to the art department, and pizza making. There were also lessons that focused on IT set-up and practice, learning how to give a presentation and sharing ideas on how best to record new vocabulary. There were visits to Caversham and Reading, as well as IKEA so the students could buy something new for their rooms.
The most talked about trip of the week though went to the Roman Bath with its dense history and proximity to shopping!
