Growing Sustainably, Together

Our whole-school 'EcoThrive' Project is well under way, and we’re excited about the many new initiatives planned over the coming year to help make our school even more eco-friendly.
The first project focuses on creating a brand-new gardening area for both our Infant and Junior pupils to enjoy. We're thrilled to share that this journey began in earnest last Saturday morning, when staff, parents, and pupils generously gave up their time to help bring our school vegetable patch to life.
Together, our volunteers carefully prepared the soil and planted fresh lettuce and rhubarb — crops we’re eagerly looking forward to harvesting! They also gave our bug hotel a much-needed tidy-up, making it a welcoming space once again for a variety of helpful garden creatures. To finish it all off, the team weeded the borders, leaving the entire area looking neat, vibrant, and full of potential.
The teamwork, energy, and community spirit on display were truly inspiring. We are so grateful to everyone who took part — your dedication and enthusiasm made all the difference, and helped set the tone for what promises to be an exciting and impactful year ahead!
Stay tuned for more updates as our EcoThrive journey continues to grow!
