Prep Poetry Performances

Last night’s Poetry Performance Evening was a truly special occasion. The children performed a powerful selection of World War I poems with maturity, sensitivity, and real skill. Their careful preparation shone through, and they captured exactly the right tone throughout. It was a poignant and moving evening, and one that left a lasting impression on everyone present.

For Poetry Week, Year 3 they have been writing acrostic poems ready for their Grandparents’ Tea on National Poetry Day. Lots of grandparents attended, and we all enjoyed listening to the poem, Grandfathers, which was performed by the boys, followed by Grandma’s Wings which was performed by the girls.

Parents and grandparents – thank you for your support in helping the children prepare for their moment in the spotlight.
