Bath Netball Tour
Published by Tormead School on Friday 26th of September 2025
Our Year 8 A-B teams recently took a netball tour around the historic city of Bath.
On Friday 26th September, we left for Bath at 1.30pm and drove to Kingswood School where the Bs and As both played matches against Kingswood. Despite the matches both feeling very even and both teams having good possession of the ball, the final scores were 24-10 to Kingswood for the As and 17-6 to Kingswood for the Bs. We then drove into Bath for dinner and a walk around the city before heading back to the hostel.
On Saturday morning, after an early breakfast we drove to the Royal Crescent and did a scavenger hunt about the history of the building. We then walked up to the main town and had some time for shopping in small groups. Afterwards we had a training session for two hours and did some netball drills and match play. After a long day of exciting activities, we went to a pizza place for dinner and had time to socialise with our friends and teachers. After supper, we went back to the hostel and had lots of free time to relax before lights out at 10.30pm.
On Sunday, we had breakfast at the hostel and then drove to Royal Bath High for our last training session before heading home. It was lots of fun and we had a great time playing in mixed teams.
