Old Barfieldians Success at KESW
Published by Barfield School and Nursery on Friday 21st of November 2025
One aspect of my job that provides great satisfaction is when I visit one of our feeder Senior Schools and see how our past pupils are progressing. This week was the turn of King Edward’s School in Witley, a school in which we have an incredibly strong relationship and a location for many Old Barfieldians over the years. The highlight of my visit was being greeted by a large group of Old Barfieldians spanning Year 7 to Upper Sixth, all of whom spoke so highly of their time at Barfield and they were so excited to hear about all the developments and changes that our school has enjoyed. It was particularly special to be greeted by Peter Brown, an Old Barfieldian, who has recently been named KESW Head Boy for 2025/26.
I often say that we have two major objectives here at Barfield. Firstly, that your child(ren) absolutely loves their time with us and can look back in years to come and reflect on a really special time in their lives. Secondly, that we work collaboratively to ensure their onward educational journey is to a school that is well-suited to them and allows them to continue to thrive. My visit to KESW reminded me of how well our children are prepared for life after Barfield.
