Oak Leaves Project

Join us on 26 January to learn more about the Oak Leaves Project and to take a closer look at the photographs and biographies of Old Aysgarthians who lost their lives in war.
The project honours 174 former pupils who were killed in conflict:
115 in the First World War, 53 in the Second World War, and 6 in the South African Boer War.
On Remembrance Sunday, their individual images were displayed around the chapel walls, which was a moving reminder of the heroic Aysgarthians who once sat in the very pews now occupied by today’s congregation.
