We are delighted to share that Upper Sixth pupil Nancy has been awarded a prestigious Army Scholarship, recognising her exceptional potential to become an Army Officer following University.

Nancy has been a boarder at Dauntsey’s since the First Form and is currently studying French, Spanish and History at A Level. Throughout her time at the school, she has thrown herself into all aspects of Dauntsey’s life, including performing arts, sport and volunteering.

As well as the honour of receiving such an acclaimed scholarship, the award provides financial support through University and a clear pathway to Sandhurst and subsequent Army service. Nancy was selected from hundreds of applicants after completing the rigorous Army Officer Selection Board, which tested her fitness, teamwork, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Nancy, describes the award as a “huge honour”, and one that has given her a clear sense of direction for the next stage of her life. She hopes to study International Relations & Arabic at University before pursuing a career in the Intelligence Corps or Royal Signals.

Reflecting on her journey, Nancy encourages younger pupils to “give 110%, be yourself, and take every opportunity – even unexpected experiences can help shape your future.”
