Places in our Reception class for 2026 at St Margaret’s Calne are filling fast. Parents and guardians interested in securing a place are encouraged to act quickly to avoid disappointment.


Reception pupils at St Margaret’s Calne thrive in a vibrant and stimulating environment. Children explore their natural curiosity through engaging stories, hands-on activities and exciting topic-based learning. Outdoor play and specialist lessons in Art, Computing, French, Music and PE including swimming ensure pupils develop a broad range of skills and experiences from the very start of their educational journey.


The Early Years curriculum is carefully designed to nurture each child’s confidence, independence and sense of self. It lays the foundations for lifelong learning by encouraging children to ask questions, try new things and grow at their own pace in a safe and inspiring environment.
