40 French Revolutionary historians had a fantastic trip to Paris and Versailles. We visited Louis XVI’s ornate palace of Versailles and its magnificent gardens.
In Paris, we visited the Carnavalet Museum, full of revolutionary treasures. We walked to the Panthéon and the Cordeliers Club, enjoyed a sunset trip along the River Seine, and saw the grandiose tomb of Napoleon at Les Invalides, as well as the immense medieval stained-glass windows of Sainte-Chapelle. We also visited the gloomy residence of Marie Antoinette in her final days at the Conciergerie.
Students also enjoyed visiting boulangeries and cafés and experiencing le printemps à Paris.
