An Outstanding set of A Level Results

Kingswood School is celebrating another excellent year of A Level and BTEC results, with the nearly 140 strong Class of 2026 achieving fantastic grades across the full range of A Level and BTEC subjects offered.

There was plenty to celebrate at Kingswood today as students collected their A Level results, with nearly half of all grades at A*-A and 79% awarded A*–B. These latest results mean that the School’s five-year A Level results average now stands at 82% A*-B. BTEC results were no less impressive with 89% of all grades at Distinction/Distinction*.

One quarter of all students achieved a clean sweep of A*–A grades, with strong performances recorded across the breadth of science, humanities and creative arts; 14 departments saw more than 80% of grades at A*–B.

The vast majority of Kingswood students are looking forward to starting at their first choice university on an exciting array of courses. All seven of Kingswood’s Oxbridge offers have been secured, as have the eight offers for those who will be progressing to Medicine or Veterinary Science. Kingswood students will take up places at Russell Group or Times Top 20 universities, alongside prestigious performing arts and apprenticeship pathways.

These results come hot on the heels of further external recognition for the School’s approach to education. Kingswood School was recently Highly Commended in the Independent School of the Year Awards, having previously won the Talk Education award for Thinking Beyond the Curriculum for our Advanced Elective Programme in its first year. For the second year running, Kingswood School received the Daily Telegraph’s Very Good Value rating, an accolade awarded to only three schools in Bath.
