A Level Results 2026

We are delighted to celebrate with this year's Upper Sixth as they receive their A Level results, marking the culmination of years of hard work, commitment and personal growth.

Of the 149 pupils who graduated from Dauntsey's this year, more than 70% of all grades awarded were A*-B. Mathematics students achieved 67% A*-A grades, while 36% of English Literature grades were awarded at A*. In Art and Design, an outstanding 80% of grades achieved were A* and 100% of French and Dance grades were awarded A*-B.  18 students secured exclusively A and A* grades.

While A Level Results Day is an opportunity to celebrate academic achievement, equal pride is taken in the exciting opportunities these results unlock for students.

This year, 93% of students will take up places at their first-choice institution, with Exeter, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Bath and Bristol among the most popular destinations. They will pursue a diverse range of subjects including Biomedical Sciences, Naval Architecture with Marine Engineering, Linguistics and Law.

Among the many individual successes, one pupil has been awarded a highly competitive Army Scholarship. The scholarship will support her through her studies at the University of Exeter before she progresses to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst upon graduation. Meanwhile, a number of pupils will continue their artistic journeys at leading specialist institutions, including the Institute of Arts in Barcelona and Urdang (Performing Arts School) in London. Another pupil has secured a Rugby Scholarship at Brunel University London, where he will study Physiotherapy.

It is wonderful to see so many securing places on their chosen university courses and onward pathways.  I am particularly excited by the wide range of destinations being pursued, ranging from top academic institutions to specialist creative and performing arts providers.

These results matter hugely, but the true value of their education is found in the people they have become. Throughout their time here, they have been challenged in the classroom and have discovered new strengths through friendships, leadership, service, creativity, sport and adventure. They leave us with much more than a set of grades, and we are immensely proud of them.

None of this happens without the expertise, encouragement and care of our staff, and I am deeply grateful to all those who have supported these young people along the way. We send our Leavers forward with great confidence and wish every one of them happiness and success in the future."
