Churcher’s College named the Best Value Private School in the South Coast & Solent region by The Daily Telegraph.
Churcher’s College has been named the Best Value Private School in the South Coast & Solent region in The Daily Telegraph’s 2026 survey of the UK’s best value independent schools.
The annual survey recognises schools that combine strong academic performance with the overall educational experience they offer, providing families with an insight into the independent schools delivering outstanding value.
Churcher’s achievement comes after another excellent year of examination results. At GCSE, 27% of grades were awarded at Grade 9, with 80% at grades 7–9, while at A Level 67% of grades were A*–A and 91% were A*–B.
Churcher’s success extends well beyond the classroom, with pupils benefiting from an exceptional breadth of opportunities. From competitive sport and extraordinary performing arts to an unparalleled outdoor adventure programme and outstanding art and D&T experiences. Pupils are encouraged to discover new interests, challenge themselves and make the most of their talents. Alongside this is the strong sense of community that encourages pupils to be mindful of others, contribute to the wider school community and beyond, support one another and play an active part in school life.
Will Scott, Headmaster, said: “We are delighted to be recognised by The Daily Telegraph as the best value private school in the South Coast & Solent region. It is a wonderful endorsement of all the elements that make a Churcher’s education so special. We are proud of everything our pupils achieve, both in and beyond the classroom, and of the exceptional opportunities they have to discover and develop their own interests and talents.”
