The Nursery at Farleigh officially opens its doors

Farleigh has proudly opened the doors to its new nursery, welcoming two-year-olds for the first time and marking the occasion with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony led by the school's oldest and youngest pupils.

We were delighted to officially open the doors to our new nursery, the Nursery at Farleigh, welcoming two-year-olds for the first time on Monday 14th September on a full-time and flexible provision.

The opening ceremony saw the oldest and youngest Farleigh children come together to cut the ribbon before an audience of Farleigh families, staff and governors.

Set within our beautiful grounds, the Nursery at Farleigh was created to give young children the very best start to their educational journey, combining a nurturing environment with opportunities to explore, play and learn.

The nursery places curiosity, independence and wellbeing at the heart of early learning, with children benefiting from a stimulating natural environment and extensive opportunities for outdoor play and hands-on learning.

Our nursery team are committed to providing children with the time, space and freedom to explore, while offering sensitive adult support that responds to each child's interests and development.

The nursery will initially welcome children from the age of two, with plans to expand its provision further in 2027, when places will become available for babies from nine months old.

The opening marks an exciting new chapter for Farleigh, extending its nurturing and ambitious approach to education to children from their earliest years.

Prospective families are warmly invited to discover more about Farleigh at the school's upcoming open events. A Whole School Open Day will take place on Saturday 26 September, offering visitors the opportunity to tour the school, meet staff and pupils, and experience Farleigh's distinctive ethos first hand. Families interested in the new nursery are also invited to attend the Nursery Open Day on Wednesday 7 October, which will include tours of the Nursery and wider school.
